FAQ
Questions I would ask before paying for a website.
Ownership, hosting, updates, Google ranking, and extra costs should be clear before the work starts.
Who owns the web address?
You do. If you already bought a domain name, it should stay in your own account. I can help connect it to the website, but it stays yours.
Can you host the website for me?
Yes. If you do not want to deal with the website files and setup, I can host it and keep the basics checked.
Can you set up business email?
Yes. Standard Care includes up to 3 forwarding addresses. Active Support includes up to 3 forwarding addresses or 1 basic mailbox. More mailboxes are available as paid add-ons with clear storage limits. Email setup is included if you add mailbox service while I am setting up a new website.
Can I keep my domain at Namecheap?
Yes. You can keep the domain where it is. I can help point it to the new website when it is time to go live.
Why does this cost less than a big agency?
I keep the work focused, use a simple process, and do not sell more pages or features than you need. I may use software tools to move faster, but the final website is still reviewed and edited by me before you see it.
Will the site look generic?
No. The finished site should look like it belongs to your business, with clear wording and a layout that fits what you do.
Can I update the site myself?
Sometimes. If you need to post updates often, tell me before we start so I can recommend the right setup. If updates are occasional, I can usually handle them for you.
What is not included?
Online stores, appointment booking, private member areas, payment processing, large custom features, phone email setup, and moving old mailboxes are not included in the standard packages. Those need a separate quote.
Do you guarantee Google ranking?
No. I set up the basic page titles and descriptions, but no one can honestly guarantee where Google will rank a site.
What happens if I leave?
After invoices are paid, you can get the final website files and the information needed to move the site. I can also help with the handoff.
How fast can a simple site launch?
A simple site can move quickly once the words, photos, web address access, and payment are handled. The usual delay is waiting on content.
